Description (Designed for ages 6-9)
Our first Development group, this group is designed for swimmers who can comfortably swim 25m of front crawl/backstroke (Swimmer 5 level). Swimmers will work on front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke. Swimmers will also get a basic introduction to Butterfly, Dives and Flip Turns. Attendance in swim competitions is encouraged!

Learn the basic technique of all 4 competitive strokes

Establish the habit of swimming with goggles and a swim cap (if they have long hair)

Parent Expectations

Arrange to get your swimmer to practices and events on time

Watch workout from the viewing gallery unless instructed by coaches due to behavioral issues

Contact your coach if your swimmer is going to miss workout

Contact your coach directly without delays if you have any concerns regarding your swimmer and their training

Stay up-to-date with club news via hand-outs, emails, website, bulletin boards and/or communication with coaches and the board

Ensure all fees are paid on time and account is in order

Parent Participation Points: help out at SKSC club functions, hosted events, etc...

Treat other parents, athletes and coaches with respect

Have a positive attitude and do not engage in negative gossip in the bleachers with other parents
