MASTERS ACCORD

I hereby acknowledge that I am either a 19 & over swimmer, or the parent or legal guardian for the swimmer(s) registered with the Surrey Knights Swim Club (SKSC). I also acknowledge that I am a member of SKSC and I agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS I agree to pay all SKSC fees in accordance with the following terms:

• Registration Fees: Payable upon online registration via credit card (covering September to August of each season) and includes:
  • SKSC Swimmer Fee
  • Swim B.C. Recreational Masters Sessional fees for Sept-July
  • One cap per season
• SKSC Training Fees:
  • Monthly Schedule
    • Due during the first 5 days of the swimmer's first training month. This yearly fee may be paid either annually in full or in monthly installments. The accepted payment method is credit card on file. Cash is discouraged and will only be accepted for annual payments if an official receipt can be provided.
  • Drop-In / Punch Card
    • Eligible for 10 swims, billed at the time of registration and subsequently when the card is used up and the swimmer wishes to continue.
    • SKSC reserves the right to bill for a punch card without approval if a swimmer exceeds their current punch card amount and continues to attend additional workouts.
• Swim Meets:
  • If myself and/or swimmers associated with my account register for a competition, I am responsible for all entry fees, late scratch fees, and associated registration upgrades.
  • Refunds: Entry fee refunds will only be considered upon submission of a doctor's note to present to the meet host. Please note: The host of the competition retains final authority to approve or decline refund requests; this is beyond SKSC's control.
  • All fees will be billed to the credit card on file and are payable by established SKSC deadlines.
• Equipment & Apparel:
  • If I place an order for equipment, I am responsible for all costs as outlined on the equipment order form.
  • If my swimmer requests a cap at a workout or swim meet, the cost of the cap will be billed directly to my account.

2. WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS

• Before the Start of the Season: All registration fees are refundable, less a $25 administration fee per swimmer.
• Monthly Option
  • First Two Weeks (monthly):
    • Registration fees are non-refundable.
    • Training fees are refundable, less a $25 administration fee.
  • After Two Weeks (monthly):
    • I must provide at least one (1) full month's written notice, effective from the 1st of the month I wish to withdraw, drop the number of days, or shift to a punch card to the Club Registrar. No partial-month refunds will be granted.
    • Members who pay annually by cheque and withdraw early will have their participating months reassessed and charged at the full standard rate.
• Drop-In/Punch Card Option
  • First Two Classes or 1st month, which ever comes first:
    • Registration fees are non-refundable.
    • Punch card is refundable, less swims used plus a $25 administration fee.
  • After Two Classes or 1st month, which ever comes first:
    • No refunds
    • Unused swims can carry over to subsequent seasons upon new season registration.
    • Swims are non-transferable to other swimmers.
• Missed Practices: Practices missed due to illness, other activities, vacation, or scheduling conflicts are non-refundable.  There will be no make ups offered for missed workouts.
• Medical Exceptions:
  • Monthly Schedule:
    • Temporary Absence: If a swimmer is out of workouts for more than 2 weeks due to a medical reason and presents a doctor's note indicating the length of time out of the water, SKSC may issue a medical credit only.
    • Permanent Medical Withdrawal: If a swimmer can no longer participate in the sport for medical reasons, SKSC may issue a medical refund of dues paid for training after the date of notification.
  • Drop-In / Punch Card
    • If a swimmer can no longer participate in the sport for medical reasons, SKSC may issue a medical refund of remaining swims after the date of notification.
• Proficiency Assessment: SKSC retains the right to refund training fees within 30 days of registration should my swimmer not possess the required proficiency for their age or group level.
• Club Discretion: SKSC retains the right and discretion to credit, refund, offer make-up classes, or take no financial action for events both in and outside of SKSC’s control that affect schedules, fees, or programming.
