West Coast Open Recap: 3 new provincial qualifiers, 1 club record, 5 new divisional qualifiers
Knights from our Youth, Competitive1 and Competitive 2 programs were out in Richmond this past weekend for the West Coast Open Invitational. Though the sessions were long our Knights did a great job of staying focussed and raced well for their second long course meet of the season.
3 of our 12&U notched new provincial time standards qualifying them for BC Summer Provincials in July. Charlotte R, Nadia VD and Christian E all earned their new cuts in the 50FR. Congratulations swimmers! While swimmers earned their divisional cuts for the upcoming Divisional Championships in June. Congratulations to Julia M, Zaahur S, Kahon Z, Brian L and Jonathan V!
Leanne C continued her attack on the SKSC 10&U record board, setting a new mark in the 50 Fly.
Other notable swims:
- Dwayne S knocked off more than 20sec in both the 200FR and 200IM
- Arnold L went 8/8 in best times, inching ever so close to multiple divisional times
- Phoebe L had a great 50BR breaking 40 for the first time!
- Eric Z notched a few more divisional times before his upcoming birthday with solids swims across all 8 events!
