Swim BC Summer Provincial Championships: SKSC Repeat as Provincial Champions!

The Surrey Knights Swim Club successfully won their second straight Provincial title at the Swim BC Summer Provincial Championships this past month. Hosted at the UBC Aquatic Centre from July 14-17 the event featured the top age group swimmers in the Province. Knights swimmers in all age categories posted solid results to help achieve this fantastic result. Yutong Wu once again won the High Male Point award for the Men’s 16-18 age category. Wu achieved 177 of a possible 180 individual points at the meet. Other swimmers that achieved high points in their age categories included Jeffrey Chen (160 points, Men’s 11-12), Lucas Kim (154 points, Men’s 13-14), Peter Huang (130 points, Men’s 16-18), Max Bentham (128 points, Men’s 11-12) and Martin Viloria (128 points, Men’s 11-12).  The Knights had 12 individual medal winners, as well as numerous relay teams placing in the top 3.  Some other highlights from the meet included a Provincial record for the Men’s 11-12 4x200 Freestyle Relay team, as well as a host of club records, including Lucas Kim 13-14 200m Breaststroke, Martin Viloria 11-12 100m Freestyle, Max Bentham 11-12 200m and 400m Freestyle, Allen Wun 11-12 800m and 1500m Freestyle, Jeffrey Chen 11-12 50m, 100m and 200m Backstroke and Adam Wu 15&over 100 Fly.
